Secomak works closely with the University of Hertfordshire on a wide range of research projects.

Supporting education and innovation in engineering and business

Secomak believes in supporting the surrounding community and has developed a strong relationship with the University of Hertfordshire. Over the past ten years the organisation has welcomed over 100 students working on a variety of research projects, from undergraduates to PhD researchers. The organisation currently employs 2 undergraduate students, 3 former alumni and 1 member of staff from the University. 

A brief overview of the University of Hertfordshire and Secomak relationshipSecomak has also collaborated on 2 Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) with the University to develop industry defining technology and share our knowledge with the design engineers and business leaders of tomorrow. In 2009 Secomak funded and installed a fully functional drying centre at the University’s Innovation Research Centre. The centre is utilised by both Secomak and University students for customer testing and research projects. See our testing and production facilities page for further information on the drying centre.
